There’s a new shop gracing the corner of 3^rd and Columbine streets and, for us, it was a much needed addition to the district’s retail scene. Enter White Peacock. The uber luxe tabletop and gift boutique is helmed by Brass Bed alums Olivia Louis, Doug Parsons and Molly Myers and is, quite simply, a haven of good taste and dreamy design. Named for the rarest and most beautiful of birds, the store carried everything a modern host or hostess could want, from crystal Baccarat picture frames to hand-painted Anna Weatherly dinner plates. In fact, many of White Peacock’s vendors are exclusive to the shop in Denver, making their selections highly curated and truly unique. We love the shop’s vast selection of colorful yarn dyed table linens, all of which are arranged on a brightly beautiful wall. “We really wanted to capture putting art into your home, but not just for the design aspect, to make it functional as well,” co-owner Molly Myers says. “Our china pieces like Herend and Anna Weatherly are the only two companies left that hand paint their china. We’re trying to keep that tradition in place and that idea of art in your home that’s actually useful and utilitarian.” And while yes, tradition is widely celebrated at White Peacock, the store insists that it wants a younger generation of hosts and hostesses to feel right at home, inspiring a whole new generation of entertainers.
