Be Well
When it comes to our health, today’s consumers are vastly more empowered than generations past, exploring modalities that complement (and in some cases, challenge) the bounds of traditional Western medicine and antiquated fitness regimes. Nowhere is this more evident than right here in Cherry Creek. With the highest concentration of wellness practices in the region, our neighborhood is indeed a hotspot for health and wellness.
Part 01: Fitness & Mobility
Kalo Fitness | Jourdan Baldwin + Niccole Hendrickson
Tell us about your business. what inspired you to get into this industry? We wanted to create what we couldn’t find — a one-stop shop where women could bridge the gap between fitness, nutrition and lifestyle, guided by their chapter of life and deeper why.
What is the first thing you tell your clients when you begin working together? Get ready for a truly authentic community connection. Community is the heartbeat of our business and where we create everything from.
Finish the sentence. “To me, wellness means…” Alignment of body, mind, and soul. True wellness is when we create healthy habits and a way of life that allows us to live out our legacy.
How have you seen the industry evolve over the years? what do you think will be the next “big” thing? It will be about taking a holistic approach — personalizing plans for genetics, hormones, physiology and the chapter of life we’re in — along with nervous system regulation and rewriting expired thought patterns.
What’s a simple piece of wellness advice that anyone can adopt?
Stick to these 4 habits…
32 oz of water within the first hour of waking
30 minutes of movement every day
10 minutes of meditation or breath work daily
Protein with every meal

Posture Power Wellness | Shari Barta
Tell us about your business. What inspired you to get into this industry? Posture Power Wellness is a Pilates and yoga studio that focuses on corrective exercise and functional movement. My goal is to make exercise fun, challenging, and remediate chronic pain and injuries. I am a two decade Occupational Therapist who left healthcare to be able to provide better care. I wanted to make corrective exercise more accessible and consumable to all, including children. Posture Power Wellness is for all ages and all bodies.
What is the first thing you tell your clients when you begin working together? One of the first things we tell our clients is that everything we do is intentional with postural alignment in mind. Body mechanics is everything!
Finish the sentence. “To me, wellness means…” To me, wellness means balance. We all need to slow down, be more intentional and connected to our bodies.
How have you seen the industry evolve over the years? What do you think will be the next “big” thing? Over the last 15+ years, the accessibility and quality of healthcare has gone down, and people get less face time with all healthcare workers which limits the ability to get better. Healthcare has become sick care. This has resulted in more people living with daily pain and chronic injuries with little guidance on how to get better. There is a need and demand for wellness studios that provide corrective exercise that can be fun and challenging and focus on improving people’s daily lives. Everyone wants to live long and strong.
What’s a simple piece of wellness advice that anyone can adopt? Slow down, be more intentional and keep it simple. We live in a fast-paced world and it is easy to get swept away. Something as simple as slow intentional breathing has been found to be one of the best ways to beat stress.

Body20 | Anne Zilvitis
Tell us about your business. What inspired you to get into this industry? I have been in the fitness industry for over 20 years, acting as both a personal trainer and instructor. It is my happy place and passion. I love to make working out fun and help people reach their health goals. That is why I’m so excited to introduce Cherry Creek and Denver to BODY20 and EMS workouts. BODY20 is a tech-based workout that uses EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation) to increase your muscle contractions as you work out and maximize your results! We are a whole body, 20-minute workout that equals four hours in the gym and 36,000 muscle contractions. BODY20 was so intriguing to me because I questioned it every step of the way: does it work, are the results real, can it really help everything from weight loss to injury to maximizing your training, is 20 minutes really all it takes? And every question I had was confirmed with visible results but also clear results on our InBody machine. The numbers don’t lie and that’s when I became very interested in BODY20.
What is the first thing you tell your clients when you begin working together? You get out what you put in, so let’s make it fun and make it count!
Finish the sentence. “To me, wellness means…” Feeling strong and confident in body and mind.
How have you seen the industry evolve over the years? What do you think will be the next “big” thing? What I recently love seeing is the technology happening in the fitness industry. Electro Muscle Stimulation is the next big thing, especially considering all the benefits and wide range of people it serves. Tech based workouts give us better and faster results, lower impact on our joints, and results that we measure and track with InBody scans. It’s for everybody!
What’s a simple piece of wellness advice that anyone can adopt? Work out smarter, not harder.

Part 02: Beauty & Skincare
Revisions Aesthetics | Jenna Starko, WHNP-BC + Nora Armento, MSN, RN
Tell us about your business, and what inspired you to get into this industry… We quickly discovered we were kindred spirits soon after meeting. Both nurses who were somewhat disenchanted by traditional healthcare systems and high burnout rates, we wanted to pursue a passion project to make women feel beautiful and make medical aesthetics accessible to all, using the highest quality products at a fair price point. We knew adding a mobile service line would be able to reach clientele with busy lives and those who oftentimes don’t have time to incorporate self-care into their schedules.
What is the first thing you tell your clients when you begin working together? Medical aesthetics is hard to navigate as a consumer- there are so many options available out there and we really encourage everyone to do their research into their injector and their treatment philosophies. At Revisions, we want to help every client achieve their goals by providing reasonable expectations by using the right product, dose, frequency and careful selection of anatomy. We are not “bargain botox.” We love getting to know our clients individually and creating a treatment plan to best fit their needs.
Finish the sentence. To us, beauty means…Confidence! The two words are essentially interchangeable to us. We help clients put their best face forward by listening to their concerns and desires, not just trying to have them “fit the mold” of societal beauty standards.
How have you seen the industry evolve over the years? what do you think will be the next “big” thing? Combining wellness, beauty and aesthetics. The aesthetic industry is constantly evolving and introducing new trends and technologies. One of the next big things is likely to be non-invasive procedures that provide effective and natural-looking results. These procedures often involve minimal downtime and are targeted towards enhancing specific features or addressing common concerns. For example, many of our clients opt for treatments like Kybella, which can greatly improve the appearance of your profile by melting away stubborn fat below the chin. Additionally, there is a growing interest in personalized treatments tailored to an individual’s unique needs and goals. As technology continues to advance, we can also expect to see further developments in areas such as laser treatments, advanced skincare formulations and innovative techniques for body contouring.
What’s a simple piece of beauty advice that anyone can adopt? Use your sunscreen and moisturizer religiously! The best treatment for fine lines and wrinkles is prevention. Also, invest in microneedling, also known as collagen and elastin induction therapy. It is a minimally invasive skin procedure that helps minimize the signs of aging, improve the appearance of acne scars and rejuvenate aging skin.

FACE FOUNDRIÉ | Michele Henry, Founder + CEO
Tell us about your business. What inspired you to get into this industry? FACE FOUNDRIÉ is a focused facial bar specializing in all things face: facials, lashes, brows and skincare! I started this company after having my third kid and feeling like the skincare industry was failing me with affordable, approachable and accessible options! I set out to create something meant for the busy, modern individual that has an open-air concept, 20–40-minute services with nights and weekend service availability.
What is the first thing you tell your clients when you begin working together? When someone walks into our space, our number one goal is to make sure they feel welcome and safe. We are an all-inclusive focused facial bar and that means anyone with a face is welcome and wanted! The beauty industry can feel intimidating but we are here to be your best friend on your skincare journey. Our skin experts meet you where you are at and help you get to where you want to be!
Finish the sentence. “To me, wellness means…” Feeling your best. That is what we do at FACE FOUNDRIÉ, we help you feel good so that you can go out in the world and do good.
How have you seen the industry evolve over the years? What do you think will be the next “big” thing? Coming from a retail background, we often see trends in clothing repeat themselves to some extent, but this industry is completely different. There is always a new advancement in ingredients or technology. I think we will continue to see technology and AI come into play to get clients even better results.
What’s a simple piece of beauty advice that anyone can adopt? It seems so simple, but water intake! This helps every aspect of your health, beauty and wellness! Increasing your water intake and staying consistent will change the way you feel physically and how your skin looks too.

Hydrate IV Bar | Katy McIntyre
Tell us about your business. What inspired you to get into this industry? Hydrate IV Bar is a collection of IV therapy spas promoting wellness from within by delivering high-quality products and services administered by experienced and trustworthy medical and wellness professionals in a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere. Hydrate IV Bar was founded by Denver native, Katie Wafer-Gillberg. While working in medical sales in Las Vegas after graduating from Arizona State University, Katie saw people seeking IVs for hangover relief and realized that there was an untapped market for utilizing IV therapy to be proactive about health and wellness. Katie moved back to Denver and began to work on her dream of making IV Therapy for health and wellness a reality. In 2016, the first Hydrate IV Bar opened. Katie now owns four Hydrate IV Bar spas in Denver and Boulder and has seen her brand expand to Texas, Arizona, and Utah through franchising.
What is the first thing you tell your clients when you begin working together? I encourage our clients to ask questions and talk with our nurses and spa coordinators to find the best IV drip or injection for what they need right now. One size does not fit all and we want to get to know you and help you identify the right service for you. We also would tell new clients to take the time while in our spas to relax and recharge. Your body will thank you for it!
Finish the sentence. “To me, wellness means…” Taking care of yourself both physically and emotionally. It’s imperative that you take time for yourself.
How have you seen the industry evolve over the years? what do you think will be the next “big” thing? When the first Hydrate IV Bar opened in 2016, it was not common to see IV therapy in a non- traditional medical setting. People would look at me like I was crazy, as willingly paying for an IV was not the norm. For myself and other pioneers in the industry, we had to educate consumers about the benefits of hydration and getting vitamins and minerals administered intravenously. Many people knew IV therapy as the hangover cure, but that’s just scratching the surface. Since then, there have been so many new wellness modalities more readily available from red light therapy, cryotherapy, infrared sauna, compression therapy, and Ozone IV Therapy, just to name a few. I can’t wait to see how this industry continues to evolve. This shift in wellness is extremely exciting and rewarding and we are just getting started.
What’s a simple piece of wellness advice that anyone can adopt? Take time for yourself and make your health and wellness a priority. No one can do it for you. Whether it’s taking a walk around the block, meditating, getting an IV drip, or taking a workout class, make sure to take time for yourself.

Wellbeing Ketamine Clinic | Andrea Schwieger, Nurse Anesthetist
Tell us about your business. what inspired you to get into the industry? Wellbeing is a leading ketamine clinic located in Wash Park, providing a medical approach to transformation in a spa-like atmosphere. We use safe and proven ketamine therapy to help people on their mental health and chronic pain healing journeys. Over the past five years, mental health issues have risen exponentially and this phenomenon knows no boundaries. Mental health is affecting everyone at an alarming rate. As a veteran of the medical industry, I’ve always had a heart for helping others heal. I’ve spent the better part of two decades transitioning my career from a helpful hand as a bedside nurse to a watchful eye in the operating room as an anesthesia provider to, now, combining these skillsets to own and operate a healing center in the heart of Denver. With my extensive medical background and powerful new healing modalities, I knew I could make a difference.
What is the first thing you tell your clients when you begin working together? You are not alone. We are on this journey together and have helped many others in similar situations make dramatic transformations. Challenging life transitions like divorce and loss, or mental health conditions like anxiety and depression can feel isolating and scary. At Wellbeing, we take a “whole person” approach to care.
Finish the sentence. “To me, wellness means…” Vitality of mind, body and spirit!
How have you seen the industry evolve over the years? what do you think will be the next “big” thing? The use of psychedelics for mental health and wellness continue to dominate the press! More and more research has confirmed the safe use of psychedelics for treating certain mental health conditions. Colorado is on the cutting edge of thoughtful legalization, allowing specially trained providers to use psychedelics as powerful tools for healing. We will continue to see more healing psychedelics offered in the future.
What’s a simple piece of wellness advice that anyone can adopt? Take time for yourself and slow down. Society leads us to believe that we always have to be doing something to be valuable. We are human beings, not human doings. Your value is inherent. So, take time, slow down, and allow yourself to just be.

Vive Float Studio | Andi Sigler
Tell us about your business. What inspired you to get into this industry? After years in corporate America, I realized that the non-stop hustle mentality wasn’t really me. After much self-reflection, I took the best parts of me and brought them all together. I began to investigate this newfound career path only to realize there wasn’t a space out there for my new merging of self. So, I did what every undiagnosed entrepreneur does, I began to create a wellness space that would focus on simultaneous mental and physical rest, specialized in passive wellness. I used the most cutting-edge, all-natural, alternative therapies available in today’s marketplace and created a facility offering the highest standards as we serve those entrusted to our care. VIVE Float Studio was born in Frisco, Colorado, in 2015. Since then, we’ve expanded across Colorado and the country to become the first national brand of rest and recovery wellness centers. We also expanded our services to include more than exclusively float (although it is still my favorite) by adding cryogenics, full-spectrum infrared sauna, vibroacoustic and halo (dry salt) therapies.
What is the first thing you tell your clients when you begin working together? While we have a wide variety of all-natural, alternative therapies available to you, let’s find the one that most effectively aids you in your journey toward the ultimate mental and physical well-being.
Finish the sentence. “To me, wellness means…” A simultaneous mental and physical reset.
How have you seen the industry evolve over the years? What do you think will be the next “big” thing? We think VIVE is the next big thing as various industries are finally giving support toward the merging of Eastern and Western therapies. VIVE brings a blend of both worlds offering the most advanced, all-natural alternative therapies focusing on the ultimate in mental and physical rest and recovery.
What’s a simple piece of wellness advice that anyone can adopt? Find the power in passive wellness…where doing nothing is everything. Take a nap!

Part 04 Mind & Spirit
Psychic Healing Center of Aspen | Life Purpose Shaman
Tell us about your business. What inspired you to get into this industry? I discovered my psychic ability at a very young age and have faced every challenge imaginable while learning how to deal with it. When my guardian angels spoke to me and told me my purpose is to guide people, I listened.
What is the first thing you tell your clients when you begin working together? Is it ok for me to be very blunt and outspoken? Because what I have to say will change your life.
Finish the sentence. “To me, wellness means…”…loving yourself and loving God.
How have you seen the industry evolve over the years, and what do you think will be the next “big” thing in your industry? Intuition has become vastly more accepted and less of a taboo. More and more people have come out with their abilities, which in turn creates a greater need for people to understand what they are going through and how to deal with it correctly. This is why I have created my “School of Great Awakening” online.
What’s a simple piece of wellness advice that anyone can adopt? Self love is what brings everything together. Like waking up with a smile, it automatically changes the vibration we give to ourselves and others for a promising journey into our day.
