For one weekend in June, and again in August, @smashinthesquare turns Fillmore Plaza into an open-air gallery walk, bringing together national fine artists, live music, sculpture, painting, photography, jewelry, mixed media and the rare kind of event that works just as well for serious collectors as it does for people who simply know a good Saturday when they see one. Think: brunch, iced coffee, a slow lap through the booths, a second lap because something caught your eye, a glass of wine, a conversation with the artist and, quite possibly, the piece you will spend the rest of the day mentally placing in your living room. Winter weddings have been getting away with green and white for far too long. For Sunset in the Gardens, we wanted to tell a different winter wedding story, one that felt warmer, moodier, and far more transportive. Set inside the Woodland Mosaic Solarium at Denver Botanic Gardens, the shoot unfolded in a palette of peach, terracotta, layered blues, soft greens, and candlelight, all inspired by the glow of a winter sunset. Conceptualized, designed, and expertly managed by Jenna Ritter of Marigold Events, the shoot brought together fashion, beauty, florals, cocktails, tablescape, favors, and cake in a way that felt immersive, intentional, and beautifully in sync.
